A Spring Update

By March 26, 2019All News

Friends,

Here in Maine, the snow is finally melting, the vineyard team is pruning, and the winery team is preparing for an upcoming bottling run. We are reopening our Thompson’s Point tasting room for our third year in Portland; Lincolnville opens on April 11, 2019.

As we prepare for our 2019 season, our mission remains the same “to beat our guests’ expectations”. In our pursuit of this goal, we strive constantly to offer new wine vintages better than the years prior, memorable guest experiences, and beautiful surroundings to spoil your senses and provide a respite. We do this proudly. Over the past few years, as costs on many fronts have risen, we have held our prices for tastings steady. After much analysis, we must do a price increase for this season. This price increase will allow us to still offer the level of hospitality and quality, that we believe is our Cellardoor standard.

LINCOLNVILLE
Over the years we couldn’t have imagined the numbers of guests we’ve welcomed to the tasting room here on a quiet road off the beaten path in Lincolnville, Maine. This season, for the first time, we will start charging a modest amount for our tastings to offset the cost of so many guests. Winery tours and our Sunday Pairings will remain complimentary.

PORTLAND
Our downtown-style tasting room in Portland is truly an extension of the winery and vineyard experience in Lincolnville, and with that mind, we will be reopening with a selection of presets wine tastings that will provide us the opportunity to share our wines with more intimacy and knowledge; prices of tastings in Portland will increase slightly, too.

If you have not yet taken a look at our upcoming events season, we encourage you to do so! Here’s to change and here’s to spring!

We look forward to seeing you soon,

Bettina
