There might be snow on the ground, but it’s the time of year when our vineyard team is tending to the vines, every day, rain or shine.
Spring Pruning, while grueling, is perhaps the one time of year a viticulturist feels like an artist. Vine by vine, we remove 80%-90% of the previous year’s growth to manipulate future growth and maintain fruit quality.
Pruning also means opening day is right around the corner – April 20th to be exact! We look forward to visiting with you in Lincolnville, soon.
