WINEMAKER NOTES: The 2017 vintage in Washington state was marked by a significant cooling trend in late September that lasted for the remainder of harvest. The delay in ripening provided the luxury of extended hang time and prompted both gradual and even ripening – the perfect weather to bring out the best qualities in Cabernet Sauvignon. With the additions of Merlot for bright acidity, Cabernet franc for complexity and our robust Lake County California Petite Sirah for added structure and backbone, this wine is bold and, simply said, wicked good.
