Pairings 101 - Holiday Treats

Tis the season to eat, drink and be merry, so why not have a little fun in the meantime? Celebrate the holiday season with a festive Pairings 101 in our Farmhouse in Lincolnville. Join friends new and old as you sip on wine, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and learn all about the art and science behind food and wine pairings. Each class will highlight a different pairing aspect (such as bridge ingredients, cooking technique, acidity, sweetness, etc.).  Seats for this pairing are limited, so early reservations are recommended.

Pairings 101 - China

We’re kicking off 2015 with on a festive note with a Pairings 101 inspired by the bright colors and exotic flavors of the East. Join us on January 17 as we celebrate the Chinese New Year and dive behind the scenes of food & wine pairings. We’ll be testing your senses and learning all about the basics of aroma identification and sensory evaluations as you sip on wine and indulge in bites from a specially created menu. Pairings 101 - NOLA

Come in from the cold and find warmth in the kitchen of our Farmhouse as we celebrate Mardi Gras by exploring the sweet and spicy flavors of New Orleans. We’ll take you through the art and science behind food and wine pairing, from aroma identifications to sensory evaluations, as you sip on wine and munch on hors d’oeuvres with new friends.  Seats for this pairing are limited, so early reservations are recommended.

Pairings 101 - Ireland

Join us on Saturday March 14 as we draw inspiration from the Emerald Isle. We’re celebrating the luck of the Irish with wine and a special St. Patrick’s Day edition of our Pairings 101 class. From sensory evaluations to the art and science behind wine pairing, we’ll be cooking up some special treats with the help of Chef Lani Stiles of Megunticook Market and pairing them with Cellardoor wines. We’re thinking tropical as we celebrate the Caribbean with our May 16 Pairings 101 class and  explore the sweet, savory and spicy flavors that are often incorporated into traditional island dishes. Lobster Lover's Cooking Class

This is certainly a twist on your traditional lobster cooking class! Join Chef Lani Stiles of Megunticook Market as she takes you through this crustacean-inspired class, from cooking and cracking lobster to preparing it in unique and inspiring ways. Enjoy a four-course dinner as you dine on the fruits of your labor and sip Cellardoor wines that have been paired with each dish. We’re celebrating the spirit of Independence Day with a patriotic-themed Pairings 101 class. Join us on July 16 as we move beyond picnics and barbecues with an Americana-themed tasting menu created by chef Lani Stiles and team from Megunticook Market as well as your favorite reds, whites and blues (wine, that is). We’ll be  incorporating aroma identification and sensory evaluations to demystify the art and science behind food and wine pairings.
