PRESS RELEASE: Cellardoor Winery Announces Support of Save The Tower on Camden’s Mt. Battie that Could Earn the Organization $10,000.
Lincolnville, Maine… Cellardoor Winery announced today that they are stepping up to help the Friends of Mt. Battie Tower in its efforts to restore and preserve this iconic Camden landmark. With every bottle of the winery’s Stone Tower (a dry Riesling) sold through 2016, Cellardoor will donate $1 to the organization up to $10,000.
“The Friends of Mt. Battie Tower are a group of committed volunteers who not only want to restore this incredible structure but create a fund that will keep it from falling into disrepair for years to come,” said Bettina Doulton, Owner, Cellardoor Winery. “As members of this community we want to do our part to preserve and protect the things that make this such a magical place to live and work.”
“When we met with Bettina and her team to discuss the project and our needs, it didn’t take long for them to say ‘yes, we’re here to help,’” said Randy Stearns, Chairman, Friends of Mt. Battie Tower. “This generous donation will go a longway to help with repairs but to also fund continuing upkeep and road maintenance.”
To make the $10,000 donation from Cellardoor Winery a reality people just need to purchase a bottle of Cellardoor Stone Tower wine that offers an alluring balance of fresh citrus, stone fruit, and river pebble.
