Cellardoor Winery Is Coming To The Point

Portland, Maine… The owners of Thompson’s Point—a multi-use development on a spit of land overlooking Portland’s Fore River—announced today that Cellardoor Winery of Lincolnville, Maine will open its first satellite location at The Point. Cellardoor, an award-winning winery, will host guests in a new tasting room that will feature food and wine parings, special events, gifts, specialty foods and Cellardoor at Home items.

“We’re honored to be selected as the site for Cellardoor’s new southern Maine location,” said Chris Thompson of Thompson’s Point. “The winery’s reputation precedes them and their brand and mission to deliver complete guest satisfaction dovetails perfectly with our vision for this project.”

“We have been searching for a Greater Portland location for quite some time now but never found a space that would give us the opportunity to create a guest environment that mirrors what we have here in Lincolnville,” said Bettina Doulton, Cellardoor’s Owner. “When we met with the Thompson’s Point team to discuss our needs and how we want to give our guests a warm, welcoming experience, we quickly realized that our goal and the team’s master plan for The Point are very well aligned. We are so looking forward to our first pour in our new space.”

Slated to be open for guests in the spring of 2016, the 5,000 square foot Cellardoor Tasting Room will be located in the Brick South building that is just across from The Circus Conservatory of America.
