PRESS RELEASE: Calling All Cooks—Your Creativity Could Win You National Exposure And Serious Bragging Rights: The Cellardoor At Home Smackdown Recipe Contest.
Cellardoor Winery announced today that entries are being accepted for its Cellardoor at Home Smackdown Recipe Contest. Six finalists will be selected by a panel of judges to compete in a cook-off at the Vineyard, June 28—the grand finale to Cellardoor’s biggest food and wine pairing ever.
“We are thrilled to host our first-ever recipe contest at the Smackdown,” said Devon Salisbury, Cellardoor’s Event Coordinator. “We want people from all over to use Cellardoor at Home products and their talents to dream up recipes that will knock our collective socks off.”
Recipes submitted can be for appetizers, main courses, or desserts and must use one of the following Cellardoor at Home Products as a featured ingredient: Sauv Blanc Fiery Jelly, Blackberry Merlot Jelly, Serendipity Fig Compote, Treasure Jam, or Treasure Dessert Sauce. There’s no limit to how many recipes a persons submits; the only rule is that is must be an original idea.
Six recipes will be selected and their creators invited to show their skills at a very special cook-off at the Cellardoor Vineyard on June 28. The winner of the cook-off will have his or her recipe featured in a full-page ad in Maine magazine. The deadline for submissions is May 1, 2015.
